It might seem a little confusing and odd at first, but we are just a simple community of misfits searching for something larger than ourselves.

Have you ever had a day where it could be part of Seinfeld or Friends syndication? My Monday/Tuesday experience of this past week could’ve been a 1996 episode of either show. It all started when I got out of my car Monday morning and my keys vanished. I mean they literally dissolved all of their nano bots into the surrounding air. After searching all day for them, I gave up and admitted my defeat around 5-6 that evening. I called locksmiths - nobody would come where I was at. I called my wife and she began the hour drive to come pick me up. While waiting, I called the insurance company and they actually told me that someone will be sent out that night to fix the lock for me. I called my wife and told her to go back home.
A few hours passed. It was eleven at night now and I called my wife to hear if she heard any news from the insurance (my cell phone was dead and the charing wasn’t working) and she told me that they called and told her that no one would help me. At this point, it was too late for me to ask my wife to drive an hour with two boys under the age of two. I ended up staying the entire night in my computer lab. Three pushed together rolling computer chairs do not make the most comfortable bed.
Tuesday came, school started and school ended. After school, a tow truck came and took my car to the nearest Honda dealership. Once there, I was informed that they couldn’t help me because my name is not on the title. It is my sister’s car that I am borrowing while she is out of the country. Luckily, I was able to get a locksmith to come to the dealership where my car was blocking their service lanes. It rained while I waited for him. The window was down. At 5, the locksmith gave me the new key and I was able to drive home to celebrate my wife and I’s third year anniversary. Tuesday was our anniversary.
This is my story that could be broadcasted into prime time. It really sucked, but thought it was humorous at the same time. I knew you guys would get a kick out of it and it goes to show that in life Shit Happens.
