My name is Stephen Miracle and that is truthfully the last name I received from my father. It is germanic in origin and was originally pronounced Mer-ah-kel. I am the main contributor of this blog Altnoise.net and was a little confused of its purpose when I first started it. I wanted it to be more than a personal blog, but couldn’t find a single niche that I would like it to be conformed. Through the months, I have found a good rhythm with inspiring content to the blog.

I have a beautiful wife, whom I had met while in Greek class, and two wonderful little boys. Without getting to Hallmark Card, my family is the greatest gift I have received from God.  After six long years, I am finally finishing up my B.A. in Biblical Studies at Warner Southern college.  It has been a grueling and painful journey, but the perseverance and experienced I’ve received through all the detours are invaluable.

Besides this inspirational blog, I also write for Getevolved and Intune. Getevolved is an emerging/evolving ministry blog that focuses on practical and individual tips. Intune is my newest creation and is simply a music blog. Through the years, one of my biggest passions has been creating, playing, and enjoying good alternative music. Intune is my opportunity to express this side of my life. I’m not going to lie, it is also a more stable contributing part of my income.

I suppose an individual would normally feel fulfilled through school, a young family, three blogs, and a part-time job. I guess I have always been a misfit with a major case of ADD and a large imagination. In addition to the above, I also have these responsibilities to my name.

 Web Guy - I run, code and manage a few online faith communities. Ginkworld.net is one of the most influential sites in the postmodern/emerging ministry world. Ginktionary is an online faith dictionary made through a wiki, and the Rewrite Project is another wiki project where the Scriptures are translated as if they were written today. St. John’s United Methodist Church is the local community of faith where I worship and help out with their internet needs.

Church Consultant - Through my experience with internet communities, youth ministry, and conversation work with atheists, agnostics, and spiritualists, I have been sought after by churches to help them emerge out of their modern church constructs.

Speaking - I regularly travel across the country speaking at churches, schools, coffeeshops and bars. This and the conversations I have with those confused about faith are my strongest passions in life. My messages usually focus on having and living with faith in everyday life.
