Matchbox Twenty Gives Us Truth About Relationships

Filed under: relationships, music — Miracle @ 5:12 am
I could write up in the sky

forgive me I apologize

still if I went through every measure

with my promise to be better

you’d say - “I’ll believe you when“ Matchbox Twenty

She stood there at the door. One foot in. One foot out. I knew what she was feeling. It was my fault that she was hurt and crying, but there was nothing I could do to fix it. I told her I was going to change. I told her  that things are getting better. I told her that she could’ve done something. All the excuses were in vain. She looked beyond me and was broken. There wasn’t anything I could say. She knew the history.

Shown The Way

Filed under: music, Poetry — Miracle @ 6:40 am

we are looking for you today
we are waiting to be shown the way

It is not for us but for you (all for you)
We want to walk in your grace (all your ways)

The world is crushing on our lives
loudly breaking our souls desires

Will you come take all  of our selves (all our hearts)
Please reform us in your grace (all your ways)

We are seeking to follow in the path
It is tough to walk in what you taught
We will continue through the struggles
Show us your face so we will have the strength

How The Beastie Boys Can Make You More Productive: A Review of The Mix-Up

Filed under: music — Miracle @ 10:38 am

The Mix-UpI have been waiting and finally got the chance. The new Beastie Boys album is out in stores and it will definitely leave you with an impression and an opinion. Why? There are no words throughout the album. It is completely instrumental. There is no catchy “Brass Monkey” nor motivational “Fight For Your Right”. It is closer to something you would hear in the elevator than on the radio.

Polarize Me

Depending on your musical taste, you will either love or hate it. It is not an album that was put out for commercial value. It was an experiment by the boys from Brooklyn and I have to applaud them on this effort. They put their souls into something without even worrying about selling millions of albums (Then again, it helps that their previous albums are still chart-toppers two decades into their existence).

Turn Up The Noise: Fielding

Filed under: music — Miracle @ 1:29 pm
Too many answers for me today
I love you my brother but i need time away
The smell of my bedroom is all that i can take
Away from the voices, the choruses they raise

This morning, while I was cleaning the lab, I came across the band Fielding on Pandora. They are a young emerging band from Santa Cruz, California. I found them while listening to the Jack’s Mannequien station I created so they are very similar to JM as well as Ben Folds. If you like the piano driven alt.rock with layers of distortion guitars on top, then here’s another band to add to your collection.

Nickelback Far Away and Lost Friendships

So keep breathing
‘Cause I’m not leaving you anymore
Believe and, Hold on to me and, never let me go - Nickelback [Far Away]

It seemed like it was only yesterday that I saw her beautiful eyes look so safely into mine. The simple gaze lasted so long that actually six years has passed and I haven’t spoken to her since. Not really lovers, but also more than close friends. The bond I had with this girl was closer than I had with anyone previously. We knew everything would be allright as long as we right beside each other. She was safe with me. I was comforted with her. This timless bond continued until I walked across the stage at graduation. I went my way. She went hers.

New Songs

After much procrastination I finally updated my playlist. I had uploaded all the songs I wanted about two weeks ago, but just failed to switch out the xml file. Don’t know why… well yeh I’m lazy. Anyway, I was torn with a couple of songs. I wanted to add Cat Steven’s Cat in the Cradle and Kenny Wayne Sheppard’s Blue on Black, but didn’t want to add too many songs. I figured that I allready had one singer songwriter with Ben Folds and one Guitar Rock with Hendrixx so I’ll just wait for these guys. Check out Todd Agnew also. It is a remix of Amazing Grace and one of my favorite songs (well mostly because its one of the few I can sing decently).

"All that I am
All that I ever was
Is here in your perfect eyes, they’re all I can see - Snow  Patrol [Chasing Cars]"

There she was resting contently on her soft pillow. Simply waiting for him to join her and be separated from the rest of the world. It had been awhile since he stopped and just watched her. It had been awhile since he truly been with her.

Hide it Again: Lyrics in Progress

Filed under: music, Poetry — Miracle @ 6:22 am

the shadows keep creeping up my wall

and I dont think I can keep it from within

I can feel that its hope rests in my body’s fall

its tender fingers tingle at my lifeless arms

and my voice is strangled by the one

who wants to do me harm

as the darkness starts to close me in..

I hear a tap at my bedroom door

There they stand not knowing what

has me on the floor

So I’m gonna… Hide it again

one more time

Hide it again… with all my pride

Hide it again… keeping it inside

Hide it again.. Hide it again..

New Songs

Filed under: music — Miracle @ 6:21 pm

I’ve added new songs to the jukebox.

Live’s - I alone
Wheatus - Teenage Dirtbag

I’m going to try and update it once a week, but I am curious about everyone elses opinion. Do you think I need to add more than just two songs… why?

Also leave a comment with song suggestions
