Remove the Confusion About Life

With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible – Jesus (Matthew 19:26)

Want some irony?

God has blessed me with a huge competitive spirit but no athletic ability to back it up.

I love to play basketball even though I am about the size of Shaq’s left foot. I put everything I possibly can into winning. The tougher the opponent, the harder I try. I size up my opponent and believe with everything that I can beat him.

No matter how dumb I look or how little chance I have at coming back from a 50 point deficit.

This same competitive spirit that drives me in sports also drives me in life. It is a blessing for the most part. I have a vision for my life and I am extremely dedicated to having a strategy to complete my goals. I do not give up when things seem impossible.

Instead, I fight harder.

Cant Do It Yourself

You can envision a competitive spirit as a bed of roses. There are beautiful and sweet smelling benefits but layered with thorny negatives. The worst of which is that you believe you can achieve perfection through your own dedication and  intelligence.

You don’t lean on anyone to get you through really difficult situations.

So you ultimately collapse.

we can accomplish  many things on our own will. A good combination of intelligence, strength and heart can lead you through most situations, but they can only go as far as your physical limitations.

For the seemingly impossible, you need something greater than yourself.

The one thing that you are allowed to swear on your mothers grave about is that life will randomly and continuously beat you over the head like a 5 year old preschooler going after a candy stuffed pinata. Maybe its trying to help you and focus your attention on the more important things. My belief though is that life thinks itself as a little prankster leprechaun who plays cruel jokes on people to relieve its own boredom.

Either way, the truth is that you will be dealt a hand in life where you think the only option is to fold.

When Confused About Life

It is in these times that we shouldn’t allow our ego to get in the way by attempting to figure things out ourselves. Instead, we need to turn to God for guidance and leadership while we go through these tough situations. Then step back and allow Him to give us the clarity in making the right decisions to get us through our struggles. No matter if it is fear of losing someone that you have cared about for so long or stress from suddenly finding out that you have lost your only source of income.

God wants us to turn to him.

I am really very confused that what should I do at evrey step of life,I keep on thinking and rethinking till the time is finally over.Even small things like whether I should go to some place or not, what to eat and extending to bigger problems, and I have been observing this from years .I have started developing a feeling of self pity.
I lack confidence like anything and fear that where will my life go as I am already 24.This is the most important phases of life, and its high time that one should be decisive.
I keep quite all the time and when I speak,I feel no one listens to me and its just not a feel,it is what actually happens.
I have started feeling that I am a big time loser and that I can’t do anything on my own,i want people to tell me what should I do and what I should not.

      Hi Rachit,

I have been through a time when I to do not know what to. Take time to know what your true passion in life is. Pray to God for guidance continually and take time to know yourself. You are 24 and yes, maybe you feel this is maybe the most important phase in your life and that you should be decisive. Sometimes we cannot move past indecisiveness because we are afraid of the consequences of the choices we make. However, when we do not choose, life goes on and we miss the opportunity to try. Thus, we feel stuck and not growing. At least when, you try and make decision, you can honestly say to yourself you did something. You are your own self with your own talent and gifting. You have something to share to the world. People are there to guide when needed but they cannot just tell you what to do. The only time you can become a loser is when to begin to doubt and give up on yourself.

P.S. Rachit, believe in yourself, have confidence in yourself and trust in God’s faithfulness. He definitely notice, listen, remembers you!

What a nice article but I think i am more confused in my life then anyone else as i am 22 and a lot of things goes through my mind and i really not able to concentrate o one single thing in my life.
The problem is that i want to do everything and sometime i think about that leaving everything and just live a simple life no more expectation just a simple one. There is something that always tell me that we’ve got this one life and we have to make to make a difference.
I know that if in anything that we are doing and we put our mind and effort then we can be able to succeed but i am at the point where i am not decisive about whats that particular thing that i need to focus on and that make me confused.
