i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart)i am never without it(anywhere
i go you go,my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)

i fear
no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want
no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it’s you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that’s keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)

Love That Keeps Your Heart Beating

We all have ones that we have intimately loved but they vanish before our eyes. Maybe it is just time. Maybe it is stages

of life. Maybe it is the calling of our hearts that tells us it is time for a change. [Read more...]

Inspirational Love Poem About True Love

Inspirational Poem About True Love

I wrote this poem roughly a week ago. I originally started writing it for a song. I wasn’t really inspired but I felt like writing so I started to pen down several sappy and cheesy lines. I wasn’t too proud of it so I walked away from my computer.

I left it on my computer for several days and nearly had forgotten about it. I went to shut off the computer and clicked the X to close out of notepad which contained the few lines when I decided to read over the lyrics again and see if there was anything there worth salvaging.

I did see something.

I read through it a couple of times and contemplated. I knew something was there but couldn’t put my finger on it. I tried to sing a couple of lines but no melody seemed to fit. I became frustrated.

Then it hit me..

It isn’t a song, but a poem.

I read it again and starting typing out more lines to flesh life into the poem and I grew attached to the characters. It is a love story that shows how much more powerful things such as love are over man’s interference.

Inspirational Poem Setting

The setting sets up where you have a young couple walking along the beach. They were being followed by people who are out to keep them apart, but at this moment they have lost their enemies. For this single moment, they are alone together.

It is in the realization that they are alone possibly for the last time that the young man speaks this poetry from his heart to the one that he loves.

and without further ado

Moment Eternal

We walked along this empty shore.
just you and I standing before
these crashing waves – our crashing souls
Lost from the worlds we don’t even know

Lets sit here for a quiet moment
Transform it into eternity.
a single look with a tender touch
passion harmonized with the raging sea.

Forget about your past; future concerns
we only exist in this now that we observe.
Look into my eyes hold to me tight.
I will keep you safe both day and through the night.

They will look for our skins outside.
Our physical selves they just might find,
Our true souls are meshed into one being -
one heart one soul one rhythm will forever bind

Our skin might separate in these coming days
They may feel as they have got their way
Truth though is love laughs at mere mortal man
They cannot destroy God’s superior plan

Yes our one heart exists beyond these seeing eyes
There is a realm that they cannot reach inside
We are safe in this pure and still space
The eternal moment of one heart and one mind

Gather close as the world ticks away
Lets mold our spirits to forever stay
You and I united with the dangerous shore
everlasting currents stronger and forever more

~*~

Closing Questions:

Do you have enough faith that no individual can separate you from the one that you love?

Do you believe that love is more powerful than anything that the world can throw at you?

Reader Thoughts About The 5 Love Languages
“I think this is a great book and everyone who is married, dating, or contemplating dating in the future should read this book. Very helpful in realizing how to analyze and work on speaking to your partners or family members.”
Reader Thoughts About Love Dare
“After 15 years of marriage and three children, this simple little book helped me to remember that marriage is not just about meeting the right person, it’s also about being the right person. A small time commitment over 40 days breathed now life back into our marriage. I highly recommend it to all married couples.”
Reader Thoughts About Hold Me Tight
“I’ve read all the relationship books, even the ones by the authors whose quotes appear on this cover, and I can say with complete conviction that this is by far the best of the lot. Dr. Sue Johnson’s warm, authoritative, and reassuring tone sets the stage for a whole lot of incredibly useful advice. The book gives you a new way to view your relationship and the tools to improve it, whether it needs improving or not! Her form of couples therapy is apparently one of the very few to be proven to work, and that’s really the bottom line. Do yourself and your partner a big favor and buy this book! I highly recommend it.”
Reader Thoughts About Love and Respect
“I have always loved my wife but I haven’t always been able to show that to her. This book helped me to better understand to react to her in a way that promotes solving problems rather than causing them continue. More importantly it helped her to be more respectful. She had always complained we weren’t able to communicate well and this book helped her learn to decode the things I had always wanted to tell her. She has become very proficient at expressing her feelings in a way that is respectful and makes me want to show her love. “

Inspirational Poem About God By Thomas Merton

Inspirational God Poem

Stranger By Thomas Merton

Two Ghosts

When no one listens
To the quiet trees
When no one notices
The sun in the pool.

Where no one feels
The first drop of rain
Or sees the last star

Or hails the first morning
Of a giant world
Where peace begins
And rages end:

One bird sits still
Watching the work of God:
One turning leaf,
Two falling blossoms,
Ten circles upon the pond.

One cloud upon the hillside,
Two shadows in the valley
And the light strikes home.
Now dawn commands the capture
Of the tallest fortune,
The surrender
Of no less marvelous prize!

Closer and clearer
Than any wordy master,
Thou inward Stranger
Whom I have never seen,

Deeper and cleaner
Than the clamorous ocean,
Seize up my silence
Hold me in Thy Hand!

Now act is waste
And suffering undone
Laws become prodigals
Limits are torn down
For envy has no property
And passion is none.

Look, the vast Light stands still
Our cleanest Light is One!

True Inspirational Poem about Friendship

Inspirational Poem about Friendship

It is said that the most important things in life are free and I believe this to be completely true. The greatest love and adventure stories of your life do not come from the almighty dollar nor the time punched on the timecard but by the experiences you share with the most important people in your life.

The same goes for friendship.

We cannot buy our real friends. The friends in our lives who we can connect and share our most intimate part of our lives. The friends that even when everyone else has no idea whats going through our head, make us secure in the knowledge that we’re understood.

Everyone Needs Someone – Helen Steiner Rice

children-laughingPeople need people and friends need friends,
And we all need love for a full life depends-
Not on vast riches or great acclaim,
Not on success or on worldy fame,
But just in knowing that someone cares,
And holds us close in their thoughts and prayers-
For only the knowledge that we’re understood,
Makes everyday living feel wonderfully good,
And we rob ourselves of life’s greatest need,
When we “lock up our hearts” and fail to heed,
The outstretched hand reaching to find,
A kindred spirit whose heart and mind,
Are lonely and longing to somehow share,
Our joys and sorrows and to make us aware,
That life’s completeness and richness depends,
On the things we share with our loved ones,
and friends. – Helen Steiner Rice

Update On Press On

I messed around with some of the issues of the song. I dropped the key down to C from C# to make it more suitable to my voice. I also added some words and spruced up some melodies. The chorus also has a switched out chord progression. I really like the changes and think it makes it sound crisper.

I want to record verse 2 again, but I am exhausted and wanted to post something tonight.

Press On – Take Two.

Leave a comment and tell me what you think.

Press On – New Song

I don’t have a lot of time but I wanted to upload and post a new song that I am writing and recording (the recording isn’t very good right now). I am excited about it and thought I’d share it with the world as I’ve had so many requests for people to hear one of my songs.

Be warned. Listen to this song as you would Bob Dylan – The lyrics not so much the vocal prowess.

Here are the lyrics (so far)

Press On – Stephen Miracle [click the title to hear the song]

sitting all alone
underneath a shadeless tree
minutes before
My eyes learned to see
life is more than
joy and childhood dreams
broken hearts, broken bones
mix the lives we lead

bruised and pushed down
I scream but no ones around

born into this lonely new world
a dream they label as what is real
pinch me so I can wake from this misery
No chance to return to when I was free

To Dream

Press On
whispers in the distance
Press On
a voice that comforts

I will lead you out
I will show you how
I will be your light
Throughout the night

Lonely Road Home (Song Lyrics)

Chorus

Its getting lonely on this road

so lonely

finding

my own way

home  Verse 1

They try to tell me

the path I need

The road to take

to succeed But I wont go

and follow their lead

I’m going to chart

my own way

home  Chorus

Its getting lonely

on this road

so lonely

finding

my own way

home Verse 2

Do you want to succeed

is what they say

hoping that maybe

I’ll change my way  It hurts to see

that I’m alone

No one is here on

my own way

home Chorus

Its getting lonely

on this road

so lonely finding

my own way

home  But I dont care

how hard the trip might be

I’m not living

the way you see Outro

In a broken and screwed up world

You have Taken as you need

We’re going to change that life

And follow

a better way

home  Cause we’re not alone

Shown The Way

we are looking for you today
we are waiting to be shown the way

It is not for us but for you (all for you)
We want to walk in your grace (all your ways)

The world is crushing on our lives
loudly breaking our souls desires

Will you come take all  of our selves (all our hearts)
Please reform us in your grace (all your ways)

We are seeking to follow in the path
It is tough to walk in what you taught
We will continue through the struggles
Show us your face so we will have the strength

Poetic Revolutions: Angry Salvation

Life is lonely when the tear drop is able to fall

splash on the ground

Life is hard when the sweat dribbles from the fight

words become daggers

but hard is not lonely

It was simply another day coming home from work. He was frustrated and ready to relax on the couch while she listened and cared for him. For her, his whining was the last thing she needed to add to a list of dirty house chores. He sat on the couch. She gave him a look. Then all of a sudden sweat, tears and angry words began to fall.

Who among us can say they do not go fisticuffs with someone close to them on a routine basis? Those who said, "Me", you’re a lying wannabe buddhist monk. Whether it is with my closest friend I’ve known for years, my always wrong Mother or my lovely wife, I’ve been known to stake my claim in a horrible day. While I do not promote shoving your frustrations into your loved ones, It is better than the alternative.

No matter how angry I get at my wife, its better than not having one at all. When another day of work, school and plain life wiped my ass all over the ground, how lonesome is it to come home and release the pain by allowing teardrops to splash on the cold floor. If it wasn’t for my friends putting up with my junk and then handing me a drink, life would be impossible. There have been plenty of times where it would have been easier and less frustrating if my only responsibility was to myself, but it would be lonely without any friends or special one to share it. Therefore the next time I get into my best friend’s face, I’m going to let him have it and then say, "Thank You."

When Screw it is not enough

unlocked up in our own cages. The struggle to get by and be known by our faces. Day in and out I do the same as everyone else. The path is set and my feet move, but it is me who decides to travel this robotic groove. What works for me now is what had allready worked for you. The car I drive and the home I buy is what others have made me want inside. Yet it is I who have put myself in the cage.

Tomorrow will change and I’ll be happy with life. Its exciting and empowering to become everyones hero, but in reality I’m just everone’s clown. Tomorrow will come and I will enter blindlessly into the cage and remember not today. Fish are not the only ones with 5 second memories. Tomorrow will have green skies and blue grass, but it will feel like home. But tomorrow is not today.

Today I am sick of  following the trails of others. When will I get the nerve to create my own downhill path to my cage? A cage not filled with white walls and to-do lists and to-follow lists. A place that I can feel at home inside. It might only be a dream, but it is something I can hold on to today. Because I know until that day I will follow the trail blazed by someone else into a cage of my own poor choosing. Tomorrow it will all feel the same.

Hide it Again: Lyrics in Progress

the shadows keep creeping up my wall

and I dont think I can keep it from within

I can feel that its hope rests in my body’s fall

its tender fingers tingle at my lifeless arms

and my voice is strangled by the one

who wants to do me harm

as the darkness starts to close me in..

I hear a tap at my bedroom door

There they stand not knowing what

has me on the floor

So I’m gonna… Hide it again

one more time

Hide it again… with all my pride

Hide it again… keeping it inside

Hide it again.. Hide it again..

til the day.. My mind has drained
