Life is lonely when the tear drop is able to fall

splash on the ground

Life is hard when the sweat dribbles from the fight

words become daggers

but hard is not lonely

It was simply another day coming home from work. He was frustrated and ready to relax on the couch while she listened and cared for him. For her, his whining was the last thing she needed to add to a list of dirty house chores. He sat on the couch. She gave him a look. Then all of a sudden sweat, tears and angry words began to fall.

Who among us can say they do not go fisticuffs with someone close to them on a routine basis? Those who said, "Me", you’re a lying wannabe buddhist monk. Whether it is with my closest friend I’ve known for years, my always wrong Mother or my lovely wife, I’ve been known to stake my claim in a horrible day. While I do not promote shoving your frustrations into your loved ones, It is better than the alternative.

No matter how angry I get at my wife, its better than not having one at all. When another day of work, school and plain life wiped my ass all over the ground, how lonesome is it to come home and release the pain by allowing teardrops to splash on the cold floor. If it wasn’t for my friends putting up with my junk and then handing me a drink, life would be impossible. There have been plenty of times where it would have been easier and less frustrating if my only responsibility was to myself, but it would be lonely without any friends or special one to share it. Therefore the next time I get into my best friend’s face, I’m going to let him have it and then say, "Thank You."
