"All that I am
All that I ever was
Is here in your perfect eyes, they’re all I can see - Snow  Patrol [Chasing Cars]"

There she was resting contently on her soft pillow. Simply waiting for him to join her and be separated from the rest of the world. It had been awhile since he stopped and just watched her. It had been awhile since he truly been with her.

New and Old Eyes are Magic

A new romance is always pretty. Nothing rivals the ecstasy which is felt when we look into a new lover’s eyes. The passion, the awe and the mystery overflow within us and it is existentially Nirvana. Then things become comfortable and the mystery begins to fade away. She lays her head down on our shoulder and we are content. Yet, there are still those days when we turn our eyes to catch her in a friendly conversation and she shifts her eyes to enter into our gaze. The world vanishes and in her perfect eyes, they’re all I can see.

Enlightenment, God and Reality

Whether the relationship is brand new and its easy to make eye-contact or its been awhile and it requires a step back to enter once again the oneness of the relationship, the world’s needs and desire become irrelevant. Snow Patrol in their song Chasing Cars expressed the truth that when He’s with her, the rest of the world didn’t exist. I don’t know how beneficial to society this is and I know its coming close to eastern philosophy, but when I intimately connect my eyes to my wifes it is what God reveals to be real. I am an extremely introverted person and I love my alone time, yet it is in those connections that I feel God’s reality and truly enlightened.
