Sponsored Posts By Payperpost?

I have recently been accepted by the blog advertising site payperpost.com to work with them and promote certain products and websites. I am excited about it because it can bring in a little income to help support the family and I am able to get paid to blog, but I am also worried about it.

Payperpost works when a company wants their product or service known across the world wide web. The best way to accomplish this is through the viral marketing of bloggers. These companies then promote their services on payperpost to potential bloggers. They will offer the blogger a certain amount of money to review their services and write a post about it (hence the name payperpost).

The good thing about being a blogger and using this system is that I get to choose which project or service I want to write about. Most of the services allow the blogger to critique the services in both a positive and negative light. I can write a negative review about a service if it sucks.

My only concern about using this system is that it might become a distraction. I plan on only reviewing sites and services that fit into the topics and needs of altnoise and its readers, but it still could become a distraction. This is why I am going to set up the following rules.

  1. Post only on services that fit the needs of altnoise and its readers.
  2. Post only services that allow both a positive and negative reaction
  3. Always disclose that a post is a sponsored post
  4. Limit Sponsored posts to 2-3 times a week

How will you know that a post is sponsored by a site through payperpost? Well, this particular post is and will be showcased by the following image:

While this may be a sponsored post, I am still not sure if I will choose to continue to work with payperpost. The decision will be helped by you, the readers, input. Let me know what you think of the idea in the comments.

  1. Sure, why not. Did you notice that Scott Adams is claiming he is going to start blogging less because of financial reasons?
