    It was an incredibly sneaky move on my part but also one successfully worked out. While I was stressfully working on a project, I heard some noises outside my door. It had to be her. So I peaked through the door and noticed her busy doing something on the other side of the room. It was my chance to go in for the attack. I quietly crept through the dark room and grabbed her tiny waist.  All of a sudden, She screamed in surprise and then began to laugh hysterically. Operation Tickle Me Out of Work was a complete success.

    Touch is the most overlooked one of our five senses. There I was sitting in a pile of past-due deadlines and huge projects waiting to be started, when I grabbed her waist and instantly came back to the calm of the present. No longer was I worrying about burdensome tasks and future junk; I was completely with her. Looking at a beautiful woman, listening to a kick-ass song, chewing a chocolate covered strawberry and smelling the sweet aroma of fresh coffee all might be heavenly, but they don’t compare. The simple touch of an exciting crush or a perfectly aged love awakens us to the moment. It completely wipes away everything but what is important.

    I wonder how long has it been since we simply touched the one we love. I’m not talking holding her back as she passes through the door, resting your hand on her thigh in the car, or other motions we do out of habit. When is the last time we deliberately went up to her, touched her and experienced the real present. Life is busy and I get caught up in a world that is not real nor present. She also becomes comfortable and safe. We forget that the secret God gave to us is not coffee but touch.
