5,000 Children die a day because of diseases caused by unclean water and poor sanitation. This is 1.8 million children a year.

If you are reading this right now then you probably don’t worry about your water. In fact, you are drinking bottle water right now like me because it simply tastes cleaner. Your water might have a bad aftertaste or have too much sulfur.

But it is safe.

More than 1 billion people around the world dream of drinking your tap water. Thousands die every day because they don’t get to drink water that is worse than what fills up your toilet. You might worry about lifting 40 lbs of water over your head for a few seconds if you rent or own a water cooler system for your home or business.

But some women and young girls carry 40 lbs of dirty water over their head for dozens of miles.

There is a push around the world to remedy the problems of unclean drinking water. Thousands of people are learning how to build shallow wells and are being mobilized to go directly to countries in need.  Since 1991, Living Water International, has completed water projects that serve 9.5 million people water every day!

Entire countries have dramatically improved the health of their people and saved millions of lives because of people like you.

There are many ways that you can help with this water crisis while staring at your computer screen and drinking your bottled spring water.

• Join the Facebook Cause - Living Water International has set up a Facebook Cause that you can join and share information with your friends.
• Volunteer - You can make a difference in the fight against unclean water right from your own community. There are volunteer opportunities in your own community.
• Make A trip - You can go directly and work hands on with those without water if you are truly brave. hundreds of people make trips each year to help in a hands on situation.
